PERMANENT MAKE-UP

PERMANENT MAKE-UP/ MICROPIGMENTATION

Technically, semi-permanent micro-pigmentation is considered permanent because the colour is implanted into the upper dermal layer of the skin and cannot be washed off. However, the pigment is implanted more superficially than a traditional tattoo, so it naturally fades over time.

What to expect during your micropigmentation treatment:

The area is numb with a topical anaesthetic cream. While waiting for the numbing cream to activate, your pigment colour is chosen.  Afteranalysing your face shape, features, and symmetry, the design is made according to the golden ratio and the desired looked you want to achieve. If you are satisfied with the design we can proceed. The machine is fitted with a new sterile needle.  Special permanent makeup anaesthetic gelswill be applied during the procedure for your comfort, most people find it a little uncomfortable, but not painful at all.Your pigment colours will be recorded for future reference. Before and after photos will be taken for records and sometimes marketing

Who is not suitable for Micropigmentation procedures?

Please disclose any medically conditions when making a booking. We may require you to .bring additional information from your GP to your consultation.

Oily skin does not hold pigment as well as other skin types. Hair strokes may not heal as crisp and clients may experience less pigment retention. An additional session may also be required to perfect it. Ombré Brows & Powdered Brows may be a better option for you.

Additionally:

  • Women who are pregnant or breast feeding
  • Undergoing or have undergone chemotherapy recently (consult your doctor)
  • Viral infections and/or diseases
  • Using Accutane

EYEBROWS

The following points are intended to illustrate the high level of care taken with permanent make-up procedures and all scenarios you should be aware of. Clients should be healthy at the time of the procedure as illness could hamper the healing process.

How Permanent Brows Can Help You:

Undefined, sparse or over plucked brows can be transformed with micropigmentation creating a more youthful look, ideal for those who want perfectly groomed eyebrows 24/7

With the benefits of permanent make-up we can create stunning eyebrows for clients of all ages, skin tones and hair colour. The brows of your dreams can be created in a soft powdered effect or natural hair simulation effect, or the look that has it all – it has the structure of a powdered effect brow and added hair simulation to create the most natural and perfectly placed, stunning looking eyebrows.

OPTIONS:

Hairstroke or “Microblading” Eyebrows – R1700 – 2Hours

Natural hair simulation – perfectly placed tiny strokes of hair grouped together in harmony, create the most perfect natural looking brow.

Microblading is very popular buzz word, but it’s not the only way to get natural, fuller brows!  Permanent makeup machines are also used to create super fine, crispy hairstrokes that actually last longer than microblading!

This method is the most natural looking form of eyebrow tattooing. Super fine ‘hair like’ strokes are implanted into the skin behind existing brow hair to create density, definition and to help fill in gaps for the perfect brow. With results lasting up to 12-30months, keep your brows updated with current trends without having to commit to a ‘traditional’ brow tattoo.

The advantage is it can be performed on most skin types, within reason.

The technique can be adjusted to be as natural as microblading or bolder if the client prefers.

2 sessions is required, 6 -8 weeks apart as it isabsolutely crucial to have a touch up done, as it is very difficult to predict how well the skin will retain the pigment. Remember that Permanent Makeup is a 2 step process!

A touch up every 2years is required thereafter to keep the micropigmentation looking fresh.

To keep discomfort to a minimum, anaesthetic creams are used before and during the procedure. The entire process takes only 2 hours and there is no down time.

The results can last anywhere from 12 to 24 months, depending on different factors  – like skin type, age, aftercare, sun exposure, use of certain skin products, pigments used, immune system, medications and other factors. A touch up once a year is recommended to retain the shape and saturation of pigment.

Ombre or Powder Brows – R1700 – 2Hours

The Ombre style has proven popular and is a very attractive option for many ladies.

With slightly different result than the regular shaded brow technique. More subtle, softer shading is used with the brow tail, arch and base being emphasized for a well-defined look.

The Powdered Brow Technique is also known as the shaded brow style and gives the effect of a full bodied and colour rich eyebrowa more defined, solid appearance and is usually a longer-lasting option. Each eyebrow shading is unique to the individual client, tailored to their needs and facial shape. The result of the powdered brow effect is a bold, striking high definition look..

To keep discomfort to a minimum, anaesthetic creams are used before and during the procedure. The procedure takes only 2 hours and there is no down time.

The results can last 24 months+, depending on different factors – like skin type, age, aftercare, sun exposure, use of certain skin products, pigments used, immune system, medications and other factors. A touch up every 2 years is recommended to retain the shape and saturation of pigment

Combination Brows – R1700 – 2Hours 30mins

With the beauty of having both the structure of powdered effect brow, and added hair simulation, we can create the most natural perfectly positioned brows.

Hair-strokes alone, with no background, do require more re-touching than other methods. A good, longer lasting option can be a combination of these, where a lighter powder-fill will be done at the first appointment, then hair-strokes over the top, to give texture and a realistic, hair like appearance. We can discuss these options and what would give you the best result and your consultation.

The results can last up to 24 months, depending on different factors – like skin type, age, aftercare, sun exposure, use of certain skin products, pigments used, immune system, medications and other factors. A touch up every 18months – 2 years is recommended to retain the shape and saturation of pigment.

A MUST READ IF YOU CONSIDER HAVING YOUR EYEBROWS DONE!!!!

Please Note:

Judgement on final result should be deferred until one month following the second application.

Some colours (especially Eyebrow colours) take longer to settle in and to see the final result.

If you have extremely oily skin, the hair stroke eyebrow technique will NOT work well for you. The constant production of oil will cause the hair strokes to heal with a diffused, softer look. Your end result will look more powdered than you would expect.

VERY IMPORTANT: If you have an old eyebrow tattoo or permanent make-up performed by another permanent makeup artist, please bring this to my attention as it can drastically influence and complicate the procedure. If your brows are dark, solid or if the colour is to cool or warm, I would suggest a form of tattoo removal first to lighten the area or colour correction. The procedure can commence after healing. I would need to see your eyebrows in person to determine treatment options. Colour corrections and “cover-ups” are better suited for powder brows. Microblading and hairstrokes are very natural – It cannot be done over existing, dark permanent eyebrows.

PRECAUTIONS BEFORE TREATMENT:

  • If you usually shape or tint your eyebrows, you should do so at least 3 days before your appointment.
  • Stop taking any blood-thinning products 3 days before e.g. aspirin & omegas (Ask your Doctor or Physician before stopping any medication.)and do not drink coffee or alcohol before your appointment.
  • You can drink anti-inflammatory medication before your appointment if you wish – this helps with pain and swelling.

WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER PROCEDURE:

  • Day 1-2 – Very moderate swelling, redness, tenderness, depending on skin sensitivity.
  • Day 2- thicker in texture. You may think they are too dark, but be patient…
  • Day 3 – Less swelling & redness will start to subside
  • Day 5-10 – Flaking begins, don’t be alarmed, this is normal. During this process your brows will become very light as if colour is disappearing, but they will be back. Don’t panic.
  • Day 10-14 “Where are my brows?” That’s what you’ll think. But don’t worry they will slowly return as the inner healing takes place and set in nicely.
  • Day 15 – You’ll see a subtle difference in colour. Colour “blooms” from within more and more each day.
  • Day 28-30+- Healing complete.  The colour you see is the colour you have.

….COLOUR WILL BE ….

WEEK 1: To Dark

WEEK 2: To Light

WEEK 3: Begin to settle

WEEK 4: PERFECT COLOUR

VERY IMPORTANT!!!!!!!

  • DO NOT PICK,PEEL OR SCRATCH THE TREATED AREA OR YOUR COLOUR MAY HEAL UNEVENLY AND YOU RISK SCARRING AND INFECTION
  • 40%-60% of Colour can be lost …brows will heal natural and soft, it is micropigmentation not a traditional tattoo!
  • The Pigment plus the Skin Undertone= The Final Colour
  • PROPER CARE FOLLOWING YOUR PROCEDURE IS NECESSARY TO ACHIEVE THE BEST RESULTS!!!
  • KEEP IN MIND THAT IN MANY CASES, SOME UNEVENNESS OF COLOUR IS TO BE EXPECTED!!! THIS IS THE PURPOSE OF THE TOUCHUP VISITS

LIPS

OPTIONS:

Lip Blush  – R2450 – 3hours

A MUST READ IF YOU CONSIDER HAVING YOUR LIPS DONE!!!!

How Permanent Lip Liner and Lip Colour Can Help You

  • Permanent lip liner and colour can improve the appearance of lips for women. It helps lips appear more defined without surgery or fillers and restores colour to lips that are too pale. Permanent lip liner eliminates the daily use of pencils to outline, fill-in, or reshape lip borders. Permanent lip colour decreases the need to reapply lipstick or lip gloss. Lip tattooing helps correct and balance the symmetry of lips that are uneven, too thin, or scarred. It can also enhance the natural colour and shape of “perfect” lips.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • It is not realistic to expect a true lipstick look. Lipstick is worn topically on the skin. Permanent lip procedure pigment is viewed under the skin surface. Clients need to understand that lip procedures do not replace makeup. In fact, it is advised to wear some type of lip-gloss to enrich the colour of the pigment that has been implanted.
  • If you are informed, follow post-care instructions, and have realistic expectations about your final lip colour, you can enjoy the remarkable benefits of what a Permanent Lip Procedure can offer.
  • It is important to realize that you will need a colour boost every 2-3 years to maintain its fresh natural appearance. If you are out in the sun a lot, have oily skin, use anti-aging creams, Retinol products, natural elements, regular chemical peels, or exercise frequently, you will probably need a colour boost every 6 months to 1 year.
  • This procedure is designed to enhance and define lips, not to create volume or fullness. The tattoo does not go around your lip like traditional lip-liner application- liner is done on the lip border not on the skin around the lip.
  • This procedure only works on lighter skin types. Darker skin tones (Fritz Patrick 5-6), because of the risk of hyperpigmentation.

PRECAUTIONS BEFORE TREATMENT:

  • Allow at least 3 hours for your initial procedure.
  • VERY IMPORTANT:If you are having a blended lipliner or full lip procedure and have EVER had a cold sore/fever blister, the procedure will almost always activate the virus responsible for the eruption.  You MUST ask your physician for a prescription for ACCITAB or CYCLIVEX 1000mg per day .This should be taken 200mg 5 times a day for 2 days before and 3 days after the procedure; a total of 5 days.  (Or as prescribed by your physician).  This protocol may prevent or minimize an outbreak.
  • If you were sick on antibiotics any operation or your immune system is on a low, please allow 3-4 weeks to boost your self with vitamins before Procedure!!!
  • Only Caffeine Free Coffee on day of Procedure (caffeine will cause dilation of veins which cause bleeding and the numbing products will not work as effective during Procedure due to the caffeine intake)
  • No alcohol, blood thinners 24hr before Procedure (This will cause bleeding)
  • Add EXTRA moisture on lips a week before treatment
  • Exfoliate your lips a few days before the procedure to get rid of all dry and old skin.( Softly use your toothbrush to exfoliate your Lips)

WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER PROCEDURE:

  • Day 1 – Swelling, tender, heavy, thick lipstick look with a reddish brick color effect SOMETIMES
  • Day 2 –  Swelling, reddish and tender
  • Day 3 – Less swelling, thicker texture, sore
  • Day 4 – Exfoliation begins, very DRY & chapped lips
  • Day 5 – Very chapped but almost finished with first chapping stage
  • Day 6 – A soft, rich color begins to appear
  • Day 7-13 – Lip color disappears and the “frosty” (2nd chapping) stage begins as a whitish/grayish haze on the lips~ The week after your procedure it may look like alot of the colour  is gone.  This will slowly return as the inner healing shows through the newly exfoliated skin.  Don’t panic.
  • Day 14 – Colour  “blooms” from within more and more each day until day 21 (3 weeks post procedure)~
  • Day 28-31  Healing complete.  The colour you see is the color you have.  However, lips remain a bit dry for a month or two.  Use a good lip balm and they will return to normal but with colour !!!

REMEMBER…..COLOUR WILL BE …

  • WEEK 1: To Dark
  • WEEK 2: To Light
  • WEEK 3: Begin to settle
  • WEEK 4: PERFECT COLOUR

VERY IMPORTANT!!!!!!!

  • DO NOT PICK,PEEL OR SCRATCH THE TREATED AREA OR YOUR COLOUR MAY HEAL UNEVENLY AND YOU RISK SCARRING AND INFECTION
  • 50%-80% of Colour can be lost …lips will heal natural and soft!!!!
  • What you see on the Colour Chart is not what you will get on your lips …. : The Pigment plus the Skin UnderTone of Lips = The Final Colour
  • PROPER CARE FOLLOWING YOUR PROCEDURE IS NECESSARY TO ACHIEVE THE BEST RESULTS!!!!
  • KEEP IN MIND THAT IN MANY CASES, SOME UNEVENNESS OF COLOUR IS TO BE EXPECTED! THIS IS THE PURPOSE OF THE TOUCHUP VISITS

TOUCH-UPS

Second Visit for Perfecting and Fine Tuning the Procedure.

More pigment layers are applied as we focus in perfecting shape, and colour to meet your expectations. Ideally, a Touch-Up is suggested NOT to be done any sooner than 6 weeks after the first procedure. Performing a Touch-Up too early could cause scarring.

Micropigmentation pigments are implanted into the skin and are designed to fade over time. As skin cells renew, the tattoo colour gradually gets lighter and fades. Colour boosts are recommended every 12 to 24 months to keep enhancements looking fresh
